So I decided to go through some of the rolls of Saratoga quarters from the box I got at the bank that appears to be all UNC Saratogas. On the fourth roll out pops a brand new 2016 Harpers Ferry quarter that just came out in early June. The Saratogas are all 2015. Would have loved to have this box a month or so before the Harpers Ferry came out.

Since there's no way to prove what you say, we'll have to accept your claim as being valid, which I have no doubts about. :woot:

And how do you expect me to prove it? I have the quarter here, I posted earlier about the box of quarters. Roll 5 is all Saratogas again.

As George Washington said, I cannot tell a lie!!!:angelic:

I don't have any doubt that you found what you said, but I do doubt that the box existed in its current state a month or so before the Harpers Ferry release. I'm sure the automated rolling and packing machinery is powerful, but not powerful enough to reach into the future and pull back unreleased coins.

Now, if you do get a box this year with, say, an Effigy Mounds quarter, I'll happily eat my words. ;)

I never said it was packaged before they were released. I have no idea when this box was put together BUT if every other roll is all Saratogas as I believe they are just looking at the end coins, then it is odd that so far one Harpers shows up. It's still cool. I got the box about 10 days ago.

It was just one of those freak happenings. Unless the rolls were Mint-wrapped, anything is possible.

You know that the coin was in there, and that's all that matters. It doesn't matter what anyone else may choose to believe. Back in 1978, after work one day, I went to my club to play a round of golf. Nobody was around on the first tee, so I went off by myself. On the 13th hole, I had a hole-in-one. 8 iron and a top-flite #6. Still have the ball. Nobody else saw it but me, but in my heart, I will always know that it happened.

    The offender, interloper, whatever.

I do have to say, though, the Philadelphia mint puts out a lot of crap!! 90% of the coins show various levels of die deterioration, lots of bag marks and marks from rims of other coins hitting them.

For all it's worth, isn't it just a quarter?
