Here in the "Great White North" its Thanksgiving Day....Monday. We are having roast goose with dressing/ whipped mashed potatoes with lots of cream/butter/ white asparagus in white sauce/ cooked red cabbage/ Martini &Rossi Asti Spumante to wash it down

Just put the turkey in the oven. Of course this was after I stuffed the skin with butter and garlic, rubbed the skin with butter and garlic, and wrapped the whole thing in...BACON. Then I put a whole head of garlic in the cavity along with a few fresh bay leaves (yes, what the emperors used to wear on their heads, those not these leaves specifically ).
