Wow, EXCELLENT AR Penny... very nice! My wife gave me a DNA testing kit for my Bday last year, and found out I am 50% Irish... NEVER knew it. Thought was Scot (probly Scotch-Irish). Also found out I have a lot of cool Finnish too. Soooo.... looks like I need to start investigating some cool Ancients/Medieval Eire coinage! May need so help from my coin-friends! Nary an Eire issue here, other than a bunch of modern Irish I had in change when I lived in Wales and traveled Eire a lot.
My dad was from Ireland, so I always have a reason to celebrate holidays or traditions even when they are not Irish (my dad never heard of corned beef before he came to this country). So, I will be smoking some corned beef briskets (takes about 8 hours) and drinking some good beer (Guiness, Smithwicks, Murphys), but no Irish Whisky. Cant stand the stuff. As an American I guess I just like Bourbon too much! To keep it within guidelines, here is a nice coin which represents how I will be handling my beef tonight:
It's like they say, everyone is Irish on Saint Patricks Day! Its interesting though, there are far many more times people of direct and indirect Irish descent worldwide than there are in Ireland. Its an amazingly small country.
This is the best that I can do ... => St. Patrick's Day Vancouver Canucks Jersey ... sadly, I don't have any Irish Coins!
Nice!!! I don´t have ancient Irish coins, just these few: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/st-patricks-day-post-irish-ireland-coins.293096/
