Ok. Is this glare? Or MD? Or just a really nice strike? Do u need to go rest my eyea? Lol. Looking forward to your opinions. Thanks!
And, as said before, "doubling" on both sides of a device is normally your first clue to MD or die deterioration.
Kristine, I'm not sure I understand exactly what it is you want opinions on, but if you believe it is DDO, I would disagree.
Machine doubling is PMD. No use trying to figure out what kind of damage it is. Your time is better spent elsewhere.
Sorry, but no it is not PMD (Post [meaning it happened after it left the mint] Mint Damage). It is the normal occurrence for the tools and equipment to wear out, and in MD, it's the dies that wore out. The error is that the employees don't care if it worn enough to create worthless doubling, they just need to get as much wear out of each die as they can.
Well yes, you are correct. Sorry, I misspoke. I just meant that it doesn't add value and there's no use in investigating further. I was a few drinks in as well, when I posted that, if I recall.
