I got U.S. Proof Sets from 1984 to 1993 for my birthday a couple of weeks ago! Now I just need 1979 to 1983 and 1994 to 2005. I'm hoping to eventually get one every year for my birthday.
Americanpatriot--the 1986 PF set is not really valuable....it is only worth around $18-$20....if you want to see valuable ones look for ones in the 50's and before-- Speedy
I'm not sure but '86 mint sets are also expensive and I've seen them for sale at $20-25 as opposed to mint and proof sets of 1987 that are only worth $5-7.
Yes Speedy but when you compare to other proof sets of the era the '86 costs 4x more than other years of the 80s so I for one find it to be valuable.
NOS I see some of the 80's are cheaper but that doesn't make them "rare" or valuable--there are thousands if not millions of proof set from the 80's-- I think as a collector so I bet me and you don't think alike. Speedy
