I really thought all of those were in landfills by now. When I first started buying what I considered high grade coins (over $200.00 each in about 2002) I got several of those. One turned out to be cleaned, another was over graded by 25 points, and the other was a altered by removing the mint mark on a key date coin.
I can't even enjoy American Independence without seeing this darn coin on the forum? What's next, it being posted as a special Thanksgiving double denomination?
Without Accugrade Holder, PCGS & NGC and Other slabbing company will never existed Today! Just all remember third Party Grading Start on Accugrade Holder for slabbing coin in Plastic 1984, PCGS owner Paid 100,000.00 US Dollar for his expertise and his PATENT on 1986, NGC start 1987. So the CREDIT is always there in ACG and Mr. Alan Hager the Inventor of Slabbing coins/cards.. Happy Holiday!
They couldn't get anything right. Over graded, under graded, fakes, cleaned, or altered. There was a point that many dealers would not even display these slabs and many collectors would not even stop and look if the dealer did. I can't think of a grading company that has ever had a worse reputation.
You have it wrong. There were companies grading coins way before ACG and using several types of holders. Who cares if Hager invented the slab.
It'll be a lucky girl that marries you, Redwin...if you love her as much as you love your coin. In fact, you should give her your coin as a wedding present...you lose your woman, you lose your coin! Btw, why do you wear a cotton glove when handling your slabbed coin? Ooops, (never mind)...forgive me for asking.
They have all chances 4 years to slabbed and certified it in the early of 1996 till to the end of early 2000, But most of all assigned bourse grader in PCGS and others TPG are Lack of EXPERTISE! That was in Baltimore Coin Show where I live 20 minutes away from my place. Historical Value and a Great Story of this POD95 is now much more valuable than any slab..The very first slabbing company in USA and certified/slab at Baltimore Coin Show in Maryland, March 2000. Large Crowd a lots of people witnessis it! Thank you for the advise..
