I've gotten a number of solicitations out of the blue for various "deals" since getting listed on one of the TPG's website.

This today from someone called "Grace Collections":

    I'll be interested in purchasing 4pieces of 1900 $20 NGC MS62.

I would like to know if you accept Credit Card and i'll need to know
your shipping method and cost of shipment to North Las Vegas, Nevada.

    I await your swift response.

    Thank you.

I linked Northern Nevada's website, since Allan is a lot sharper handling various types of customers. I have a paypal account for buying on EBay--can I use the same account to accept payment, and do I need to allow a clearing period?

I have also gotten emails like this one:

    "Dear Sir / Madam,

    AU GOLD OFFER FROM GHANA

I humbly introduce myself as Kennedy Baah,an entrepreneur and a businessman and as well a citizen of Ghana. Most importantly,my correspondence with you is not about entrusting you to send me moneys as upfront payments, fees and charges extorted from some buyers by false people acting as dealers of commodities rather I am seeking for your partnership for a long term venture to establish a strong cordial affinity between us.Below are the details :

    AU Gold-dust or rock form
    Purity - 96.47%
    Origin - Ghana
    Carats - 22

Mode of payment - Bank to Bank Transfer

Hoping to hear from you soon.
    Kennedy"

Are these types of emails ever legit?

    Thanks.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Run! Don't walk, RUN! From these deals. They get any info and they'll empty your accounts. Delete the emails without opening them. Your response also proves that your emaill address is legit and then you'll be flooded with spam.

Doesn't really sound right but there are a few ways to protect yourself. Ask for payment by check or money order don't give out any bank info. If you have a PO Box address its even safer.
Or you can just ignore them.
