Poor politicians, we have already had representations of women on our coins and currency, but they like to pretend they are being progressive.

I would rather see Jenner on any FRN over BHO any day!

I don't think any politicians actually voted for this, Lew just kinda made it happen because he obviously wasn't doing anything important

I love women plenty, but this decision just leaves a bad social-justice-warrior taste in my mouth. Do we have to bow to every single twitter-fueled political-activism-of-the-month?

I saw that Lew was opening it up for the public to vote. I have no problem with changes but this let's-force-them-to-change isn't the way to do it.

They've already said same rules apply--no one living. So probably someone from the last petition. Meh.

Just read an article in Der Spiegel (German) about this. It says that the reason, or rather occasion, would be the 100th anniversary of women's voting rights (19th Amendment) in 2020. Makes some sense to me ...

I read that he said maybe they will continue to issue $10 bills with Hamilton on them alongside the new bills. I like this Idea

That is a nice milestone for a change, but do you honestly think they would not be doing this if there weren't a convenient anniversary to celebrate? This announcement is simply to quiet all the noise from the woman-on-$20 campaign from the SJWs. This appeasement will only encourage the activists to take the next logical step, which is to legislate that women are on 50% of the paper money designs.

As pessimistic as I sound, I am hopeful that they can chose a worthy female figure to honor on the $10, and produce an attractive design that excites both collectors and non collectors alike.

This would be a cool idea, but how practical is this? We can hope.

"Miss Liberty" is about as likely to appease them as "Mother Nature."
