Was bored - so I thought I would post this old puppy while I want for the newest members of my tribe. Nothing special and I thought it would need a good home.

Kinda funny how it wore , the obverse has a nice full rim while the reverse is wore down .

I've noticed on alot of Half Dimes that I look at, for some reason the reverse is most always worn more than the obverse. I think maybe the reverse dies on these coins were sometimes used more than they should have been which resulted in a weaker strike on some. Especially the New Orleans coins which were notorious for weak strikes on alot of coins from that Mint. Thats my opinion, although I could be wrong.

On second thought it looks as if it may have doubled as a guitar pick..lol

I really like it, I love the design without the stars on the obverse. :thumb:

Nice no stars small date. The coin looks so different without the stars.
It's more common to see a weak LF on the reverse with the large date.

I really don't care much for the asthetic nightmare which we call the seated liberty series. But the no stars issues were great. The only year I like of the series. It creates a nice cameo effect.
