The toning looks horrible. It has 0 eye appeal. The reverse is so-so, but the obverse looks horrid. Definitely not a coin I would bring home to mom.

There is a reason why these coins are priced low, lack of eye appeal. I would rather pony up the dough for a nice blast-white or a gem rainbow tone. Better have a nice coin when your talking about that kind of money. Why blow $800 on a rainbow-puked toner when you could probably have a nice blast white/gem toner for less?

Here is a 5c with nice toning for only $650.

Yes the coin does look nice, as far as strike, and being original. But like I said, horrible toning. It's the ugly duck. I'm sure if you had a row of 5 CBHDs for sale, with a couple blast white examples and a couple of better toned ones, it would be the last one picked. It don't have that "buy me" look to it.

I've seen a lot of ugly CBHDs. But I think with the proper amount of patience, one could pick up a nice blast white or a better toned coin like the one I shown for a more reasonable price. If your in the market for a coin, and don't like what you see, waiting a while can often produce better results.

I would honestly take the originally posted one over the one you posted. I'm not a fan of the bluish toning on it. I guess it is all in what you like.

Clean your lens! A photo should not be that grainy taken from a 14.1 megapixel camera.

Overpriced for the unattractive toning. I'll really fan the flames here and say that if I were to negotiate a more reasonable price I would have a few good arguments: It is overpriced for the grade. (At which point the seller mentions the premium for toning) I reply that though I believe it to be NT, the toning itself is unattractive enough that I would have the coin conserved (toning removed) and will cost me $XX. I'm now thinking: His Price - 'toning premium' - cost of conservation/resubmission.... Here's where counter-offer comes in. If the deal goes down, my ace in the hole is the thought that toning can obscure luster. So conservation will not only improve eye appeal, but it may end up getting bumped up that 1 point in the end.
