Half Dime Die Clash Help

    Took some of my coins to the coin shop today for them to review. The dealer looked extra long at my 1850 half dime. He showed me what appears to be a die clash with the letter "C" stamped by her left elbow and other clashed down her right arm. Are these die clashes, and if so, does that look like a reverse "C", and what coin could that have come from?

    That is not a "C" . . . it is indeed a clash of the "E" at the end of "DIME".

    It looks like its facing the regular way... "E".

    the backwards "C" that you see is actually the field in between the three horizontal lines of the letter "E"
