Can anyone tell me if my dime is worth anything because of the error on it?[IMG]

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

No, that dime appears to be corroded, environmentally damaged, or toned and half dipped. It is worth a dime.

Well from looking at it myself its not corrosion its a half tone that appears to be half dipped.

if the brown is not pitted from acid, then it is an incomplete coating on the planchet that hte mint missed

I would say it's 'incomplete cladding'. An error from the mint.

I, too, say it's incomplete, but the delineation of the clad layer is too clean to be natural. Somebody covered part of that coin and dipped away....
