Hey everyone, Got this in my change today!:thumb: What is it? Is it worth anything or should I put it back in circ? Thanks!
Haiti, 1905 5 centimes Copper-Nickel, 20,000,000 minted Obv: President Pierre Nord Alexis Rev: National arms $3 in VF, $10 in XF according to the catalog. For most people this coin would mean they just lost 25 cents and now they need to get rid of it. I wouldn't have put it into circulation.
Cool! I bought a newspaper for .50 cents and that was apart of my change. So I got paid to take a newspaper? Good deal! My question is: How did it end up in 'Bama?
Wish they'd throw a 1913 v nickel...............Ive probably have a better chance at seeing the national debt being paid off!!!!!!!!! He ehe heh
That's pretty good condition for the date. It neewds to be a lot higher though to get much attention. These are quite scarce in XF and better and would be valuable if there were any demand.
Really now?! Cool. It has the one little nick below the date and thats it. Its in great shape for it to be 110 yrs old.... thanks a bunch for the imput!
I was wondering how such a nice coin got all the way to Connecticut from Haiti in such nice condition. The US had sent a military presence to Haiti back in the day. Then I discovered the W mint mark in KM which means the coin was struck in Waterbury Connecticut. I began to think that the coin never left Connecticut.
