So, for those who don't know (probably everyone, i haven't been here for a while) I am currently stationed at Ft Riley KS. I moved here in June for predeployment training as an advisor but i was removed from the advising team due to a moderate medical issue and have been here in limbo since. For Christmas, my wife bought me a metal detector that I havnt had the opportunity to use yet so i brought it here to KS with me. Therein comes the dream. I drempt a couple of nights ago, I had been out metal detecting on post (historical area, frontier capital, GEN Custard's post etc etc) and hit a large metal something. I did some digging and found a really really old tin with oilcloth n leather in it. I took the can back to my truck to open and found several frontier era gold and silver pieces in it... and then the alarm went off to get up.... Guess what I am doing after the gym tomorrow?:mouth:
I get my metal detector out and had that same dream but nothing yet. I go out in the yard, Found three pennies today but they are in bad shape. Cheryl

Welcome back! Be careful where you go as some areas are illegal and they can take your detector and car! Good luck. PS. If you find a big gold bar, don't cut it with a saw to see if its real.
