I made a purchases on HA saturday, got and paid for the invoice Sunday night. It is now two days later tues 9/11(never forget). I was just curious how long it takes to get notified of shipment and a tracking number? I know HA says they take 7/14 days to arrive so then how soon do they ship? Thanks.

lol, you realize you're giving them less than 48 hrs to process your order?

I do not understand their shipping organization. I have (more than once) delayed payment so I could combine shipping only to have them ship it before I paid. More commonly, it has taken about a week, but once it took over 4 weeks and then only after I called. If you can translate that, more power to you.

4-10 days from time of payment? I'm just trying to pin down tracking notification, shipping, when to expect emails ect. It's all curiosity. And it's killing this cat ;).

And to answer, it was a bust half dollar to complete a type set.

If the auction was held in conjunction with the Long Beach, CA show then the lots are physically in CA. They then ship them back to TX before starting the procedure of sending out lot winnings. It can take a while to get your coin.

Yes, this is true. It's also a great insight into the "it depends" nature of things; if one's lots were purchased from a major onsite auction, such as last weekend's Long Beach convention, the lots have to travel back to Dallas.

The good news Heritage is quite efficient; I buy from every auction and commonly have the coins before the end of the week after the auction.

The dynamics are a bit different if buying from Heritage stock - typically it's faster.

Ok, thanks guys that helped a lot. I'll just do the typical end of week/beginning of next week wait that I'm used to when doing say eBay. Curiosity cured.

I don't think I've ever been sent an email with a tracking #. If you go into your acct and look under my orders , it should give you the info your looking for.

I don't know what you are buying, but they always send me a shipping notice including the tracking number.

My invoices usually include this statement:

Important: To expedite shipment (as appreciation of your established loyalty), this invoice will be shipped on Open Account, without waiting to confirm payment. Please allow 7-14 days to receive the items you won. If you have not already paid, please visit MyOrders to help ensure expedited shipping on qualified invoices in the future.

So they will ship before I pay. I know this because once I forgot to pay - this was about 5 days after the end of the auction. In this case they charged my CC before I paid, but it was already shipped. It was the shipping notice that caught my attention. From the time I get my invoice to the time the coins arrive is about 8 or 9 days. I know once or twice it has been longer, but not many. I like the fact that the coins are in my mailbox when I get home. Never had a problem.

I have been dealing with Heritage since like 2007 or there abouts - knock on my granite desk, I have never had a problem with shipping. As noted above, if it is a Signature auction at some offsite, ie outside of Dallas, then you might wait a couple more days. Thankfully I have never had to call them on shipping. Wish I could say the same for Stacks - they have left lots out(lost!) and waited almost a month to ship after my cheque cleared.

Got the Notification today that they shipped it out today and supplied a tracking number. Now I just have to track and wait *sigh* lol.

Once it's in your hand you'll forget about all the anxiety of the wait.
