Was wanting to know if this cutting error adds any extra value to this bill. Just wasn’t sure so I figured trusty coin talk will know. Thanks in advanced. upload_2024-7-3_15-47-54.jpeg upload_2024-7-3_15-47-54.jpeg

If anything, it is a detriment. I believe they were still hand cut during that time so its to be expected. Perfectly cut specimens preform better

Thanks for the reply. I just wasn’t sure if they were desired like modern day errors.

Many may not know this note was printed by the American Bank Note Company ...the BEP.
And again hand cut.... still the OP's note is very nice specimen.

@Paddy54 , I believe the note was a product of National Bank Note Company

Very nice note and definitely hand cut so what you have is expected. Not enough of the other note to increase it’s value. It’s from the 1863 time period and printed by the National Bank Note Company in New York I believe.
Not sure if it’s worth grading but it looks to be in very good condition.

Both are on the fractional…National on the front and American on the back.
    How do you designate?…Spark

It is actually harder to find these old fractional items with designs that are properly centred (but nice OP example).

Unless the bill is like cut in half with two bills showing on it, the answer is no. Centering a big deal for pricing paper money.
