MY guess EF40 DET. Don't think it will get a straight grade. Estimated value $18

It'd take Bondo to fix what's happened to that coin.

Just thought I would note: The question wasn't what would PCGS or NGC grade the coin. It was:
    :wacky:

  11. It must have been mixed in with all those silver pesos dumped in Manila Bay......

Probably not, but I'll bet you could get it into MS64PL at NNC.:wacky:

Why would anyone submit that to any TPG? LOL

Acetone might fix the problem, if that's paint.

AU details. "Junk silver", as-is, unless it's some special VAM variety or something. (I don't do VAMs.)

Yes, could be PVC, which would certainly be the kiss of death.

Regardless, this one wouldn't be a straight-grade candidate, even if somebody did want to waste money sending it off. (I wouldn't submit that coin to a TPG even if it was free of the Green Mystery Scuz. It's not really worth the expense.)

I also think it was probably cleaned at some point too as there appear to be hairlines under the green gook.

The question was what's the grade?
    Would icg give...............

ICG would bodybag it for PVC, like any other TPG, if that is what the green is. Most services (I know ANACS for sure) won't even holder a PVC-contaminated coin, even with a "details" grade. Straight bodybag.

If the green is not PVC, then ICG would "details" grade it like any other respectable TPG who does not hire the blind as graders.
