Guess the Variety #1

    No clue on the two guess the variety. Just can't narrow them down.

    Well... Look at the 1 of the fraction and you will see a Large Fraction introduced with the S-257 Reverse in 1803. The obverse shows the top right of the 3 of the 1803 date.

    Next, look at the (E)D and you will notice a die break running through the top right curve. This is a characteristic of Reverse N of 1803. There are two pairings with the Reverse N, S-258 with Obverse 11 and S-259 with Obverse 12.

    Obverse 11 has the HWH under the center of the R while Obverse 12 has the HWH just left of the upright of the R. Even on this poor specimen, the HWH can be seen under the center of R. Thus we can determine the variety as S-258 R1.
