Guess the PCGS/NGC Grade!

Hey cointalk,
I recently got some great coins for my collection, PCGS/NGC Mercs and one Steelie. Have fun guessing the grade! ( Full bands count for the Mercs.) the prize is....a big congrats from me

1) 1944-D Merc PCGS Old Slab


2) 1945 Merc NGC


3) 1943-D Merc NGC


4) 1943 Steelie NGC

I appreciate your enthusiasm with the subject and educating people on the grade, but quite honestly, we need better, higher-quality photos that can really capture the coin. I mean, a few of the photos look blurry, have distracting glare, or are just too dark to tell anything (like the steel cent). I'm just saying this to try and help you, I'm not trying to be mean. Just understand thst if you want a serious guess, you need to provide members with good enough photos that warrant those guesses.

 

maybe you could talk to rlmcents. he does guess the grades all the time.

For example, the avatar of non_cents is also too dark, is blurry, and would not be able to be assessed for grade.

Regarding your coins, I think they are all nice examples. Congrats on the pick-ups, and keep practicing at your imaging. Practice makes perfect.

 

Well, that's why I wouldn't use my avatar photo for a "Guess the Grade".
