I'll also go with AU details. That said, since it's not an option...I will vote AU55.

Your image makes the coin look dipped out and dead. The PCGS image shows the coin to have really nice luster.

Regardless of what the TPG said, I still say AU details because of all the scratches. Especially the one that runs from the ear all the way down and across the neck.

I dont think you understand the new grading standards for TPG
This quarter graded G4 with PCGS, They disregarded the cleaning, rim damage, scratch, and gouge.

That's really a shame because that coin is clearly a problem coin for several reasons. This is why collectors need to educate themselves...because TPGs don't always get it right. This coin should not have been graded.

Yep. I want know what they were smoking when they graded that Barber.

Barber coins at this grade seem to get a pass on minor damage.

On the contrary, I understand them all to well. If a coin is a scarce date/mint, let alone actually rare, has a well known pedigree, or is more valuable that most, then the coin gets treated with leniency and is usually over-graded, or graded when it not worthy of being graded at all.

And as long as you have been around this forum you should know that when I post my estimate of grade for any coin, I am not posting what I think the TPG said. I am posting my own personal opinion of what the coin should be graded, or not, as the case may be.

That dime is a problem coin, plain and simple.
