Guess The Grade Toned Walking Liberty PCGS

    a little weak for a'44. ms63 or less

    These coins aren't my forte so I'll ask the question, do these have weak strike issues?

    Also, those gouges down the Eagle's leg are gnarly. I hope it didn't receive any sort of toning bump in the grading process. It's a beautiful coin, but not without its problems.

    I'm going to say MS62, although if it was an AU slider I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. (Which would obviously state that some of the weaker areas on the coin are wear and not due to a weak strike).

    Frank,

    I have owned a gem grade 44-s before. This coin aint that! I was torn between AU58 and MS62. I know the 44-S is known for a poor strike.

    44s, like the 41s & 42S are notorious weak strikes.

    forget having a thumb, sometimes there ain't no body

    Then I implore you to look at the photo again and reconsider your grade.

    Looks like good luster tpg said 64 I would say 63 tops
