Guess the grade... PCGS Graded

  1. Hi Group, Missed you guys this week. Had to get a bunch of stuff done and didn't take the time to post or even read.
    I got this back last week expecting a 66RD, what do you think? Yes I see the bag mark on the shoulder, but... :( 1933 1c 0758.JPG 1933 1c 0759.JPG

    The shoulder mark and the two in the hair might have bumped it down. My guess, based on your disappointment, is that it received a 64. I would have thought it would have graded closer to a MS65.

    I think it is remarkably nick free, but I am not seeing any luster. 65 if it actually has some luster. 64 or genuine if it really is that flat.

    Not showing quite the luster for a 66. IHO.

    Trick question, I think it came back Ms-66 RD :)

    I don't think those "dings" on the shoulder and hair are dings. I believe they were left when the planchet was flattened.

    I'll say 66+RD.

    I'm low ball and say since you posted this as a disappointment i would say ms64!!

  14. Well, Guys... I was disappointed, but most of you were headed in the right direction. I do believe the coin is a 66 BUT!!! 1933 1c 0760.JPG

  15. It has very good wagon wheel luster, just bounced the flash to give more detail
