I am astounded at that grade. Is the photo a scan by any chance?

    Blinded by the bright

Sorry~I would been off the other end of low if I were not still learning this slabbed stuff.

I've never been to a coin show where true concern takes precedence and still wonder why the ANA stopped at 70.

I'm a decimal kinnda guy, but would have put it in the choice uncirc range.

I just guessed, the pictures weren't all that great, and you can tell that the brightness of the scanner did that to the coin, because the coin doesn't look that in hand, and if it does I'd be shocked
I stay away from auctions with pictures like this, because they don't show the full potential of the coin, or any reality to the coin's characteristics

You can grade them accurately, with an accurate photo.
I doubt your coin looks exactly as pictured in hand.

The majority of times you really can't grade a coin by even a good photo to see the detail etc the way you should ,as having it in your hand .

True - in hand is better. Still, with Ebay - I need good pictures to see if I am willing to pay shipping to and from for that in hand look. Most of the online dealers I use I trust.

PS - As a matter of fact the only time I bought coins online without pictures was from the Penny Lady. Turned out good in my opinion.

That is funny, I actually see more detail in my photos than I do with the coin in hand. The problem with photos isn't the detail IMO. It is that it is extremely difficult to determine luster and accurate color. Occasionally, the lighting and angle of photo can hide surface imperfections, but usually, I see things in a good photo that I missed in hand.

I feel the same exact way
I feel that some blurry, crappy, non marco photos, yes, make the coin look terrible and show no detail at all
All my photos show great detail on the coin, and I've even seen a few things that I've never even seen before on my coins! LOL
I can see good detail in hand, and in my photos, and they are accurate representations, if you can not take good pictures, than no one will ever be able to properly grade your coin
