This is slabbed by ANACS. Guess the grade... and if you want, guess the VAM. The full-coin images are from a flatbed scanner. The close-up is a digital photo.
Beautiful, looks like powder on that eagle I'll go MS-65-PL. As far as the VAM, I'll pass. Apparently all my Internet Links didn't make it back when the puter went in for fixing Bone
If that's not circulation wear on her cap or the eagle's feathers, I'll say MS-64. As far as the VAM goes, I'm no good at those, so I won't hazard a guess. Bonedigger, I don't see any PL tendencies...
Well we all know a scan will take out much of the luster....so I would say that showing the marks I see on the face ( some of them look more like breaks in luster) I would say MS63 maybe MS64. As for a VAM...S/S maybe... Speedy
Great guesses from everyone. It's MS64. SuperDave, help me out. My VAM updates end at VAM 58. I thought I had all of them. I found a photo of the VAM 59 on the ashmore site, and I think it's right. I can't find the text description for the VAM 59 (dies, details, I and R values). Do you have them? Where did you go to guess VAM 59?
I made my opinion of the VAM from the same ashmore photo you looked at. It was such a close match as to be conclusive. Google finds me no other information, therefore it must not exist. Does your nick indicate that you hail from the Northeast Kingdom? I'm originally from Bennington.
