What do you all think? Guess the grade and the holder. Some may already know one or more of these (1) (2) (3)
'65 on the Great Lakes Exposition.....love the subtle color and gun metal grey look.......Morgans bore (boar) me. Hope Dave don't see this.........
AU 58 (wear on highpoints of OBV) 63 may PL (need to see it on hand) 64 may + (need to see it on hand) (high likelihood of being a VAM)
@Burton Strauss III I think I outbid you on the Accugrade California Also, is the prooflike Accugrade Morgan holder one of the first two or three versions of Accugrade? Unfortunately I don't have @Conder101 's book for reference.
Yes, @ddddd you scum, you did out bid me... but I really couldn't afford to go as high as I did. I'll steal the photo in retribution. The ACG PhotoSlab with the obverse and reverse photo is ACG5 (but there are minor differences in the alignment of the reverse label from the book picture and the fractional grade is new). This isn't uncommon, in 2003, Conder listed 25 varieties, there are over 50 known now.
I would not say the toning is fake. It looks good to me. I would guess this was a case of someone submitting too many toned coins at once and PCGS deciding to detail them all (although that is just a guess since I did not submit the coin myself; I bought it already in the current holder).
