Luster looks very strong. Tough choice between 66 and 67 for me. Guessed 66, thinking the ticks on the obverse limited the grade.
I did a double take when I posted this picture. I saw nothing to keep it from a 67. When I looked closer, there are some not so obvious nicks that make it possible to get a 66, but it is close. In case you are wondering, a 66 goes for about $15 while the 67 goes for about $300.
Nice coin - and I think the tpg got this one wrong, thus making my grade wrong. Darn tpg's. Have you thought of resubmitting this one?
I'm tired of playing .. lol.. I don't think i got one single one right yet. then again they all have been NGC not that it should make a difference
If it were $150 and $3,000, I would, but my batting average has not been too good lately. Maybe if I got a whole bunch
My guess they were grumpy and the small right obverse field hit and stain held it back. That's a prime focal area, it's the first thing I noticed, but I didn't find it distracting enough to drop to 66.
