    They put her at a 66 or 67. I'll say 67 though. (My grade is a 66)

    Wonder what that is on his cheek , and above the NE of one on the reverse .

    I will let you figure the reverse, but the cheek is both dark and shiny. Not sure what that means. A rub on some wax?

    Reverse looks like a planchet flaw to me as it looks incused . I have no idea about the obverse . I just wonder how bad it looks in hand , but that's what we're here to learn .

    First off, I think that thing above the ONE is nothing more than a stain or toning. It has a very nice strike and only a couple tiny nicks. It has kind of a matte finish (that I have seen on most 1945-S's), but it does not hide the luster. Yes, PCGS gave it a 66. Maybe it is not the best looking 66 I have ever seen, but it is definitely above a 65.
