Noooo...this is one of those NGC coins I always miss by 1....perhaps I'll abstain.

Ahhhh - now don't be shy. I am sure one day NGC will get one right. :) And for those that don't know - I am just kidding. Darn shame RLM did not do a break down by what over all percentage the top 10 had for all the coins and by grading company - way to much work I am sure.

Would have went 66 if it wasn't for the marks , 65 .

    I like it as a 66RB.

Good solid strike, nice luster, and I can find a single nick one it (and it does not even show in the picture). And there is some blotchiness to the color, but only the 2 stripes really are obvious and they are not that contrasting. The grain effect is definitely not visible without a loupe. I am not sure what side I fall on today, but I will bet when NGC gave it a 66 it deserved it.

aubade21 joined the top 10 this week. Otherwise, only rzage and jallengomez remained in the same slot while everyone else jumped here, there and yonder.

Must have dropped 2 bads . Dick do you think those lines developed after being slabbed ?

Pure guess, but I would favor not, but do not ask me to justify that.

That dark streak on the obverse is a pretty big distraction for the non-wood lovers, I'm surprised they didn't knock it down.....unless is wasn't there at grading. This is a beautiful example of the 33D! I give it WG-66RD! :D

The main streaks you see are not part of the grain. I assume they came from a roll. If you look, they are not in line with the grain you see through LIBERTY. However, they are much more obvious in the pictures than in hand. That is not to say you have to look for them, but ........
