I really like the color from the pictures of this coin. The darker lusterous red - nice coin.

To many distracting nicks in my mind. Probably got a 65 but i gave it a 64.

I say MS63R there,s just alot going on in the obverse with those dings and contact marks. The beautiful color makes me think that without the lighting of the photo this coin may be much better in hand :)

  7. Close to gem but too many marks on obverse...MS64. TC

  8. ddoomm1

clean fields and general strenght (but scratches on the cheek and between the E and N in cent) still MS-66

I think the reverse is going to hold this one back....at least it should.

I guessed 63 too, with the spot on reverse and obverse nicks. I am sure it graded higher.

I am pretty sure the spots were not there when it was graded. Again, the dings and nick just are not there to the naked eye. I am pretty sure it was a 66, but not so sure today.

BTW, Marshall, you finally over-corrected. Both of your guesses were too high

wow..imo, the most sever miss by any tpg to date of all the coins presented. That gash on the reverse, by itself, should have limited this cent to 65.... and that assuming a much cleaner obv than this one has.... I vote this one the biggest tpg miss to date...

    ... any seconds ?

Amen to that....the reverse field hit and spots should have kept this out of 66. NGC stinks.
