    64. An abrasion of the reverse and some marks on cheek.

Even with the tick marks I think the luster carried it to 65. These are two toughies in my opinion.

    Yes, especially the other one(1926-S).

Slight weakness in the obverse, cheek and hair above ear weak. Some distractions in the obverse fields and a hit in the center of the reverse.

Tough, I think it has enough for a 65 though.

Man, you sure raked this one over the coals and I am having a hard time figuring out why it was not graded a 66. The obverse is pretty much nick free. Even those marks on the cheek are barely visible even with a loupe. The spots are pretty much in the same boat except the one at 3:00. And I am not sure how much a slight darkening counts. Most of what you see on the reverse is on the slab. Only the 2 nicks above and below the O can be seen in hand, but there isn't the booming luster. I guess it must be because of that darker area with the luster that NGC only gave this a 65. To me that is one heck of a 65.

It will catch up to me. Like some others I am getting 1 right and off by one on another. So with the way he does the calculations it will bite me soon.
