1951-D PCGS slabbed NOTE: If you don't vote in the poll, your vote will not be counted. Answers to this round will probably be delayed, but it will still end next Saturday, 6-22.
Cant tell if the scratches on the obverse are on the coin or the holder...I'll be safe and go with a MS65
Tough coin, these usually have spots galore. A crapton of luster, I can see it....I bet the reverse is crazy.
This and http://www.cointalk.com/t229408/ will be ending tonight. Answers and nest round will probably follow tomorrow.
Nice strike and luster. Not too many nicks but that one between the E and N is there.. Yes. that scratch across the jaw is on the slab and that is a die crack on the forehead. However. those blotches (obverse) and streaks (reverse) are on the coin and they are there in hand. I would not call them obvious, but they can be made out. That has go to be why they called this a 65 instead of a 66.

Well then it's one heck of a nice 65 . I still think it would make a 66 on 7 out of 10 tries . One right and one wrong , time to get on a streak here .
Boy - when I picked my grade I thought this one was a no brainer 66 all the way. Goes to show what I know.
