Close call, tough to judge without seeing in hand.

I'm leaning towards 67 , but the hit on the reverse is making me think 66+ , guess it's time to go look at Heratige .

    Where did everyone go?

This coin is a looker. I wonder if this could have earned a star from NGC. Eye appeal to spare, great luster, and it is nearly nick free (just a couple tiny ones on the reverse). However, the spots are a bit less obvious in the picture (by the O in one and right wheat). I am not sure how they count, but I see nothing else keeping it from a 67 and PCGS only gave it a 66. I guess these spots have got to count. How about a 66+.

Dang I forgot to vote , because of the Blackhawk game . I couldn't make up my mind anyway as it's a beauty , but with the hit in a prime focal area on the reverse I thought 66 , but I really thought everything else might carry it to a 67 , guess I was right about that hit . Wow Mark is on a run too .

A travesty! This is a smooth and easy 67 in my book...she is definitely a looker!

Bummer, I missed the vote....meant to come back after sitting on it awhile. I could tell the luster and eye appeal were probably off the charts with this coin. I would have voted 67 even though those are rare with PCGS. It should be a 66+ at least for the eye appeal.

What about the obverse fields? I think I see some distractions there in the pics. The area just above LIBERTY there looks to be some vertical marks.

It looks like something has slightly discolored it there, but no scratches.

Yea, that's what I was seeing, no hits or anything, just a distraction. PCGS weighs fields pretty heavy, they like 'em clean.

Dick , how much do you think they took off for that hit on the N in one cent ? I figured that would be the biggest thing holding it back from a 67 , it is in a focal area .

Your are asking a question that I cannot really answer except to say that I cannot see it in hand and that is not their prime focus. I can easily see that spot by the wheat even though it is not prime either and just see the spot in the O. Remember this?
