    nice coin, going au-53 here, hair nice detail still, wheat ears still very nice, but the ear is obvious as is the beard.

    Light wear on the high points is pretty much the definition of AU. This one actually has a fair amount of luster left for an AU coin let alone a brown coin and the surfaces are quite mark free. I think I would give it a 55, but PCGS only thought it deserved a 53.
