I'm feeling a trend here with MS-66s (which means PCGS probably gave it a MS-64 or something :/ )

66 here, reverse with a bit more boom mightve pushed me to 67, but those might get pricey

will gamble and say the spot holds it to 65... very nice and attractive coin... can see 66 easy.

BIG gamble, this would be a shame in a 65 holder IMO.

guessed 66, but would not surprise me in a 65 slab.

always tough to guess if the spot was there at grading or not.

Great strike, great luster, and minimal nicks. That spot is small and not so dark. That is a 66 to me all day long including the spot. However, not so to PCGS. I have no idea what they saw that limited them to a 65, but apparently they saw something.

A solid 66 to me too . But I had a weird feeling PCGS would blow it . lol

The one of the nicest 65's I've ever seen.....disagree with PCGS for under-grading this one!

I think the obv spot and somewhat mushy obv strike (note detail in abes hair behind ear) held it back.

Still when you take the whole coin it's just too nice to be in a 65 holder . The strike looks strong enough to me and rlm said the spot is small and not dark . I think they blew it . I think it's a case of PCGS nit picking if the spot is what they used to hold it back .

I said 64, so they're not as stingy as I figured they would be.
