MS-66RD (I'm assuming the coin looked better when it was graded, aka: better color)

NICE TONER! Great color and frosty luster but a few hits in the primary obverse fields.

Great strike , color and luster , too bad for those scrapes in the fields . I have a feeling they're not so bad in hand .

NGC worries me with this coin. The luster is nice but it's a 65 IMO.....NGC could have given it a 66 for luster.

Yeah, I'm gittery on this one also. I should have asked RLM's first, but just assumed that the noise in the field to the left of Abe's head is on the coin and not the holder. I think that alone may hold it back to 65, from what I've seen tpg's can be hard on field noise in wheat cents. I'm looking forward to seeing this grade....

My pictures kind of stressed that marks on the obverse, but it is definitely there in hand. Aside from that, it has a very good strike and very good luster particularly for a RB coin. Maybe the biggest detraction in hand would be the spotting on the reverse. NGC decided this made a 65. It definitely is not a 66 (since it is RB. at least) and it is way beteer than most 64's I have seen so I guess 65 is about right.

Not as bad as I was when I started , but after a couple years I've improved a lot , but still not up in the .3s where I'd like to be .
