Just a little wear but the corrosion is killing it. I'm surprized they slabbed it with the verdigris.

Whoa! Tough coin . Maybe I'll use a dartboard in the AU grades . I'm suprised they slabbed it with that verdigris .

First off, nearly all of the white spots look like dirt on the coin until you get them in the bright lights. Very light wear mostly on the jaw, cheek and arm, the normal wear points. Not even very many nicks for a circulated coin and it is a very nice strike for a 1926-S. Easily an AU coin. I would go 55 without the verdigris. My guess is it was there, but not quite as developed. Anyway, PCGS gave it a 53.

Looks like they bumped it for no major hits, but I couldn't get past the grime and verdigris.
