Love those bi-color red coins! That's an outstanding coin....in my eyes a 67 but these are tough in that grade. I'm gonna think about this one awhile.

65 would be a travesty for this coin. I would crack and resubmit!

Love this coin and it's color , I'm thinking 67 , but I'm not sure how visible that mark on lincolns forehead is . Maybe a high 66 .

I give. I will try to unplug the drain tomorrow

This is an interesting coin. Two toned, but there is nothing brown about it. It is almost a silver with orange swatches intermixed mostly on the reverse. Minimal marks and a great strike. Great luster on the reverse and most of the obverse, but if you look closely you can pick out some blotchy luster on the obverse. Not to the point of impaired luster, but not quite the great luster. At the right angle, you can see sort of a haze there. (Look above LIBERTY. Great luster above ERT, but both ends, it is not quite so profound.). Not an expert here, but I would suspect this coin has been dipped once upon a time. Had it been rinsed completely, I think it could be a 67. As it sits, I think it is a nice 66 as did NGC, but I would not guarantee the results if it were resubmitted today.

BTW, I have no idea what the speck is on his forehead, but it is not on the coin.

I knew that would hold it back. The obverse haze appears to be a thin film of verdigris which IMO could be easily conserved.....still a real nice coin.
