I'm tempted to go 67. Yes I've seen worse looking 67's.

I noticed that. Not sure if it qualifies as a cracked skull or not, since it goes all the way to the rim.

Interesting holder. Wonder if that means anything?

I see what you mean. I put 64, but thinking about it, that gash in the forehead and the scratch nearby could make it a details.

Ugh... tough one. I would be inclined to say 65RD but the forehead gash and what looks to be two scatches at the bottom of the left wheat make me question the possibility of a details coin.

    Nice penny.

That is the new PCGS edge holder, so the only thing it means is it was slabbed recently.

I thought it was a 65, but luster carried it to 66. Just my opinion.

There is something about those fields on this coin. In hand, they look exceptionally smooth and flat. Yes, there are a couple nicks on it, but the strike is solid and luster is not a problem. PCGS called it a 66 and I agree.

Thad moved back into the lead even though rzage's score did not change.

BTW, next round (Saturday) is kind of iffy for timing. I will be visiting the grandkids this weekend.

Top 10. Columns are rank, name, average, and number of guesses.
