    1929- A PCGS slabbed

NOTE: If you don't vote in the poll, your vote will not be counted

This round is going to be a little different. Here are three  1929- Lincolns all graded by PCGS. Maybe this will help you guess or maybe it will get in your way. I recommend that you look at all three threads before guessing. BTW, I am not saying that these are or are not the same grade.

    There is no poll.

Haven't looked at other threads like you recommended, but...

    MS-63?

Edit: Nevermind, the poll is there now.

64 not just because of the marks but also lincoln's hair has some wear and so does his beard

This sounds like fun! I know a secret about the obverse picture....I'm laying down my bet.

    66

    I agree with BadThad, MS66.

  9. I voted MS65 but almost wanted to say MS64. TC

Looks like at least a 65 to me, so I guessed 65. The spots in the right obverse fields have me worried that I may have overgraded.

I've started a new tactic. I figure out what my initial impression is and add two. So MS64 becomes MS66.

I would suggest that you stand 5' away from your monitor.

It is a common mistake to overstate the impact of relatively tiny marks on the coin and undergrade as a result.

Remember modern graders often don't even take out a magnifying glass, and these pictures are more than 5x.

All 3 of these have great luster. The hits (more like rubs) in the right obverse field are much less obvious in hand. I thought it funny that more people guessed 66 and more guessed 64 than guessed 65. All-in-all, I think this is a nice 65.
