    A little shawdow on the right side of the reverse makes it tough to grade. I'm gonna think a couple of days. I also have these old NGC holder where the rim is obscured, it's hard to see the rub if any on a tweener.

    What about the spot in the t in states?

    AU details, environmental damage IMO.

    This one is really really hard. I have seen coins like this one grade anywhere from 50 to 62, and the slight spot could put it in the details category also. I just took a stab in the dark at AU55. I think there's some rub on the cheek? :confused:

    Looks like the classic NGC AU 58 to my eye, but having a tough time judging luster.

    Don't like that T in states. I see green but it could have showed up after the grading. So I graded it.

    I think it should be AU/MS Details. If not, it should be MS63.

    hey rlm..just so i understand..if this cent does turn out to be AT how are the "wrong" grades scored...so what Im asking is how many grades will separate an AU-55 from an MS-63 in regards to the contest???

    Each grade is 1 point. 45 - 50 = 1; 50 - 53 = 1; 53 - 55 = 1; 60 - 61 = 1. I still have not figured out just how Genuine/details should be handled, but what I have done so far is count it where it sits on the poll.

    I'm passing on voting this time. NGC is too unpredictable on coins like this. My guess would have been AU-53. There's just too many signs of having seen some circulation IMO.

    This and http://www.cointalk.com/t195134/ will be closing tomorrow night.

    I should be able to post the answers some proximity of on time, but I am not too sure when I will get the standings posted.

    If I was voting I'd go AU-55 . But a 58 wouldn't suprise me . Depends on if the spots were there when slabbed and wether it was a Mon or Fri. at NGC . Too many varibles .

    It really does not look that bad in hand. It is relatively free of mark and has fair luster but has some blotchy color in a couple spots. I see no damage on it, just spotting. I am guessing NGC thought it was album friction because they called it 62. BTW, see http://www.cointalk.com/t116472/

    How do you score a genuine/details vs. ms62 actual ?

    So far;
    However, I am definitely open to suggestions.

    Just an idea Dick , in future threads you could have us include a details grade if we choose genuine details , then you could use that grade to help determine the score , just putting details covers a lot of ground .
