Wow...that'a beauty! I like 'em with tinges of red. Love that coin! I'm voting 64 without being able to see if it cartwheels nicely.

Lacking in eye appeal but what hits there are, are very well hidden !

This was probably the hardest coin to date for me to judge... the detail above the ear and in the hair always give me a hard time when trying to decide whether apparent wear is due to actual wear or strike,, and the toning of this baby really makes it tough. The reverse is very nice.... gut said 63,, so bumped it one and went 64.

I will be ending these tomorrow See also http://www.cointalk.com/t119420/

FWIW, I will be posting a set tomorrow and another Friday or Saturday, let them run 6 days, but may not get more posted until August

Is there a spot in Lincoln's hair?

This round's photos made it particularly hard for me to guess the grade.

I couldn't see a significant mark on it. I guessed 65. It didn't have the look of a 66, and it's surfaces weren't marked up enough for a 64 -- that potential spot notwithstanding.

It is a nice coin, but it is brown and the luster is low. I think they got it right even if Doug did say 65.

Oh yea...nailed! However, I have to agree with Doug. There's hardly a hit on this coin, it sucks when they penalize for reduced luster. My grade is a 65 but I gave the TPG opinion of 64 for the contest.
