another one deserving of plus one here.. same unfortunate issue with luster. I'd have no problem with someone calling this one 67 based on detail and strike and clean'ness... but luster doesn't appear to pop at 67 level.

Hard to tell color, but it looks 66RB from the pictures. The left, obverse field hit is about all I can see, sweet 33!

66 RD. From what I have seen from posting red coins, that is what they look like. Any brown is accentuated in copper coin photography.

The last two I could not get a good feel for - the pictures almost make the luster look really flat, but I am sure that is not the case.

I think your "haze" is glare. In hand there is no glare.

I guessed 66 because of a lack of apparent luster in the photos. Could easily be a 67, IMO.

I don't know what to say for this coin. I probably should have taken another picture, but most of the flaws are visible in the pictures. Just not as obvious as they are in hand. It is easily a 66 or 65+ with the luster, strike, and marks, but it has some mostly light spotting. NGC only gave it a 64. Maybe it is a 64+, but NGC is not that far off

Pretty much those who guessed went down the poll and those who did not guess went up. However, since Animosity and ldhair seem to have dropped out for teh moment, they will disappear next week unless they return.

Top 10. Columns are rank, name, average, and number of guesses.
    1. Animosity 0.263 21
    2. ldhair 0.316 20
    3. Leadfoot 0.368 40
    4. rzage 0.400 32
    5. Duke Kavanaugh 0.486 37

WHOA! Based on the pictures I strongly disagree. That coin is virtually hit free, sorry NGC missed the mark on this coin, 65 minimum.

Wow - I am stunned by the two coins. Really makes you stop and think sometimes about what you are seeing in pictures. I might agree with the other, but not on this one from what I see in the pictures.
