66 + 1 RD. If the mark above 1945 wasn't there and the reverse was cleaner, 67

I think the hit in the field should hold it back to 65... but love the toning !

Is that a hit in the right obverse field or a scratch?

I would grade it a 65. I think NGC went one higher.

65 Because of that mark . Beautiful toning would have raised it but that mark is distracting .

Is that environmental damage at 8:30 on reverse rim? The tic in obverse field and scrapes on reverse around E Plur and ONE are distracting (at least they are to me). I'm probably wrong but I'd go MS-63 red.

That scratch above the date is very distracting in the picture. In hand, it is puny and very hard to even tell that it is a scratch. There is a bigger scratch below the TY in LIBERTY. I can't even find that one in the picture. All the little specks you see on the reverse are just that - little. The luster is great and I like the bull's-eye toning. I am not sure I would go with a 67 like NGC, but it is really close.

That hit really fooled me , looks so prominent in the pics . Should of asked you how bad it was .
I can see 67 except for that hit , still a beaty of a coin .

Good pick on this one , you and shoewrecky were the only ones who got it right .

Have no issue with the 7 grade. Probably worth it, if not technically all there. Upgrade for eye appeal would be my gut feel, now knowing the grade. Good example of market grading perhaps?
