    First to guess!!!

65 RD, weak obverse strike and marks on Lincoln prevent it from being a 66

I'm saying 64, the bad strike and those marks aren't good enough for a 65.

Oh weak strike, how hard you are to grade sometimes. People confuse you for nicks and wear and all kinds of terrible things.

I think PCGS looked past the weakness and awarded it a 66, as it is an amazingly clean coin with very nice luster. 65 is not out of the realm of possibility, but a 67 certainly is.

    IMO, of course...Mike

p.s. does anyone else find it odd the O in ONE is complete, yet the coin shows weakness on both sides?

Is that line on the obverse down lincolns head on the holder or on the coin? I assumed the holder.

Good luster and a good strike. Nearly mark free. PCGS gave it a 66 and I can go for that. Apparently no one else liked this one. They all went to the 54-S.

Dick , so '46-S , are noted for weak strikes ?

Not for weak strikes, but they are not noted for strong strikes either. My picture appears to exaggerate the weakness. The right wheats are all there, but I would not call them razor sharp.
