These dimes were graded by the guy who owns the coin shop here in Tulsa...they weren't professionally graded by a grading company. The grades he gave the coins (just letter grades, he didn't grade them by number) seem accurate to my uneducated eyes and he's an expert so I trust his opinion. The dimes are very beautiful in hand. They are very shiny and have near mint state luster. Thanks for your guess. I'll reveal the grades he gave the dimes in a couple of days.
The 1936-S is a VF with no remaining mint luster. The coin is as white as it is because someone dipped it to death. The 1944-D is AU.
True, but I bet the 'expert dealer who owns the coin shop' likely put something on the 2x2 like 'Ch. AU' for the 36-S, and 'UNC' for the 44
HINT! You can't have a guess the grade for coins when you do not know the grade . It works this way: you get it graded by a slabber, preferably be a real one. then we guess their grade. not the one [grade] you wrote on your 2X2. Idea: yours should say: melt
I think it is a Lincoln cent, but I am not sure. You need to hold your camera still and turn on the macro for close ups (typically the little flower).
