Guess The Grade 1924 St. Gaudens

    What did PCGS grade this 1924 $20.

    MS65 is my guess. I could be way off though.

    I will admit I have little practice grading gold, but I would go MS64. Too much chatter to give a 65 IMHO, but I very well could be wrong.

    Where are you seeing it? Her hand, her knee, eagle head or wingtip?

    Pretty much all of the obv high points, eagle head and breast. Can't say I see any on the wing tips.

    I admit I am always bad seeing this light rub from pics. In hand I tilt the coin to see if the luster is broken.

    Want to bet a nickel its "cabinet friction" in the eyes of the TPG? :)

    He is the hardest grader I've ever seen. I'm guessing 66
