OK Cointalkers, test your skills with this one. These are known for being hard to grade, so good luck!

Older NGC MS62 . . . they are more strict today.

Wait, I always heard they were more strict back then? So you guess graded as MS62... what would you think it would get now?

By the way, there is a VERY light scratch on the Indian's cheek, but it is so light I don't think it affects it too much (it did straight grade).

Looks like a 62 to me. Forget the scratch, there's a wee bit too much wear on the high points of the headdress to go higher in my opinion. MS-63 prices start to climb. the Mint made most of these coins towards the end of the year, hence the lower mintages. Only 3 years were minted in Denver.

AU55, the open fields are somewhat marred.....and the incuse luster is nearly gone. By today's standard a so called slider.

At what grade would you think this would have a shot at a green CAC and a gold CAC?

There is no weak D, right?
Seems to be a Phili coin....

Correct, no D. I am going to be using people's guesses to help determine if it is worth trying to CAC. Would the light scratch on the face prevent a sticker?

I don't think so, the scratch seems not to effect eye appeal.
    Nice coin btw......

I just don't know these at all.. What I do know is that gold is softer and has a little more leeway in terms of allowed marks. I'm going to throw a dart at the board and say MS-63.

    By today's NGC standards I think MS61.
