AU58. detail in hair above ear worn. I looked at 20 or so examples of 83-O in PCGS-63 slabs....that detail was in tact. But, with a mintage of 8.7 million, they would have burned through 70+ reverse dies. there could be some weak strikes....but I'll stick to my 58
I would agree too. I've learned to look at the hair lines along the top of the ear, and then to look at the breast feathers on the back to see how defined they would be or how faint they look. Before I looked at any other posts I said 62 so I'm getting better with this.
63 - typical O strike on the coin. Now if there is lots of luster it might be a 64, but based off the picture a 63.
