Gem + coin, but that obverse spot limits grade, IMO.

    I guessed 64.

65 RB or BN, could go higher. Got my first one right on one of the other GTGs. Thanks for this!

I should preface this and say that I don't know the first thing about grading, but I did consult my Red Book. I would have given MS65, but it looks like there is a tiny divot in the first pic so I went MS63. Still a very beautiful coin!

65RD, lock for 66+ without the obverse spot...still a nice coin.

Nice coin relatively clean surfaces , I'm stuck between 64 and 65 ,think the tpg will give a 65 .

I went 66 cause the spot developed after it was slabbed

I'm thinking that spot is not as bad as the image makes it look. I gave it a 66.

Good solid strike and marks are not there. But the Luster does not correlate to the strike and marks not does the black spots. Either could have come before or after slabbing, but I will bet both did not come before the slabbing. I am not just sure how all of this goes together, but a 65 is close particularly if the luster or spot was "developing" in the slab.

FWIW, ldhair missed both, so he is nearing the crowd. Otherwise, there is little change this week

Top 10. Columns are rank, name, average, and number of guesses.
