Was looking to get more responses before i revealed the grade but not too much interest and this is a very intrestig coin which i feel deserves some spotlight. It's in PCGS plastic, MS64. if anyone cares to know why let me know
It's in a 64 holder because it is indeed an UNC coin. IT appears to be circulated because the dies this coin was struck from were in there final stages of life, if you look under the eagle you see flat spots and what appears to be wear, however that is a grease filled die, there also appears to be a scratch on the obverse, but indeed its a die gouge, the luster seems to be flat and yes it is which because of the state of the dies it is flat. IT just goes to show you that even though a coin is not attractive or appears to have problems it can still be an UNC coin.
Russ, I actually like the look of this coin even if it has a few warts. I was going to guess 62 or63 but then I read to the end. I need to learn more about how to grade seated coins because I have aspirations of collecting them someday. Thanks for sharing.:thumb:
